Total of 3 classes- 1/9, 1/16, skip a week for drying and firing, third class on 1/30 (glaze week). This is the recommended class for first time students on the wheel! Learn the basics of making awesome pots on the pottery wheel! The first two weeks are spent on the wheel and the last week is for glazing! All supplies and materials are included- JUST BRING A HAND TOWEL! Aprons are nice to have but optional! FINGERNAILS must be trimmed to a short length. This class includes all supplies and materials- just show up and give it a try! Small class size allows for plenty of individualized instruction. You will learn how to work with clay and begin making simple forms on the wheel. You will have a chance to glaze your pieces. Expect to create 2-4 pieces of pottery during this introductory session! This is a great family activity. You can register up to 6 people. Or email us to schedule your own time slot! NOTE: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE REGISTERING Due to the short term of this class, we do not provide makeups for missed classes. Each class of the session builds upon the last so you MUST be able to attend the first class- you won't be able to "jump in" and catch up in the second class. If you miss the second class, you will not be able to finish the pieces from your first class. If you miss the last class you will not have the opportunity to glaze your pieces. Please review class dates carefully to assure you do not have conflicts. These classes fill up very quickly so if you miss the first class we cannot guarantee that we can reschedule. We do not refund class fees within 7 days of the start of the class or after the session has started. If for some reason you are registered and cannot attend, please notify us as soon as possible. We will do our best to place you in a future session that is not full. We want you to be able to have the best experience possible.
