Hangin Out Hand Building! This hand building class focuses on clay items created to hang on walls or dangle. Planters, wall pockets, art tiles, animal characters, doo dads, and bobbles with a focus on one pendent light fixture. ( pendant electronics will be provided at additional cost) Clay and glazes will be provided, however, each student is responsible to provide their own basic tool set. Each set should consist of a pin tool, soft rib, wood knife, scoring tool, small sponge, and misc forming tools. (specific tools and complete sets are available to purchase through Markgraf Clayworks at additional cost if needed) While at the studio students will have access to other specialty tools and form. Students will also be required to research reference material and come to class prepared to create. Although helpful, this class requires no prior experience, Class fee is $250 plus $10 material cost for pendent fixture. =$260 each student All studio practices and absence policies will apply. By registering for this class, you acknowledge and agree to our policies and procedures. We are located on the third floor of a historic building with no elevator, so you have to be able to navigate stairs to the third floor.
