Intermediate throwing skills required Ages 16+
Service Description
6 classes: Mondays 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, skip a week for drying and first firing, final class for glazing on 11/24. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate makeups, but will work with you to provide any missed instruction. This class focuses on advancing your current wheel skills, honing your craft into art and learning new surface techniques. We will explore water etching, handles and appendages, sodium silicate and multiple piece assemblage. Wheel experience is required- advanced beginner to intermediate. Students should have their own tools- pin tool, soft rib, wood knife, scoring tool, small sponge and miscellaneous forming tools. While at the studio, students will have access to other specialty tools and forms. Please bring your own hand towel (aprons optional). Fingernails should be kept short. Please read our procedures and policies. By registering for a class you acknowledge and agree to our policies and procedures. We are located on the third floor of a historic building in downtown Newark. Unfortunately we are not handicap accessible.

Cancellation Policy
Full refund or credit will be issued for any class cancelled by Markgraf Clayworks. If a student must cancel, they may do so for a full refund minus a $25 processing fee up to 7 days before the start date of the class. If a student cancels within 7 days of the start date of the class, they will receive a credit to be applied toward another class. Credit must be used within 6 months. Student will be responsible for any part of class fee greater than their credit due. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class.
