Service Description

Total of 6 classes: Wednesdays- 10/8,10/15,10/22,10/29,11/5, skip a week for drying and firing, 11/19-final glaze class Advanced Beginner and up - students have completed INTRO TO POTTERY WHEEL and at least one Beginner six week pottery class or have similar experience. In this six week class, students will concentrate on throwing practice. Using the skills sheet provided, students will evaluate which skills they feel proficient with and which skills they need to get more practice with. The skills sheet also includes techniques and vocabulary students may not yet be familiar with so they can use the class session to inquire and investigate new concepts. Students can determine what they will make to best utilize the skills they plan to work on - i.e- throwing taller/larger, matching sets, pouring vessels, handles, etc. Each student is required to have their own tools. Tool kits will be available for purchase (18.00). Bring a hand towel. Aprons are a good idea, but optional. Fingernails must be cut short. Materials fee includes 25#clay, dip glazes and firings. Please read our policies. By registering for a class, you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to our policies and procedures. We cannot accommodate makeup classes. We are located on the third floor and there is no elevator. We apologize to anyone who is unable to take classes due to the stairs. Please contact us to discuss if we can bring the class to you.
