Service Description

Class consists of 5 classes in studio and the off site firing. Studio dates are Tuesdays 6-9 on the following dates: 6/20, 6/27, 7/11, 7/18, skip a week for drying and bisque, then glaze week 8/1. Firing date is Saturday 8/4, with a rain date of Sunday 8/5. There is no makeup for the firing date so make sure you can attend the firing date(s) before registering for the class. For those new to the raku experience. Learn about the alternative firing process of raku. In the studio, learn about best construction techniques for raku and naked raku as well as surface preparation for varied firing results. Then all students will assist with an off site raku firing where you will see first hand the type of kiln, fuel source and reduction possibilities to get exciting results for your pots and sculptural pieces. Students should have their own tools. Tool kits are available in studio for $16. A list of other recommended items will be provided at the first class. Some clay experience is helpful but not required. Please read through our policies and procedures. By registering for a class you acknowledge and agree to our polices and procedure guidelines.

Cancelation Policy

Full refund or credit will be issued for any class cancelled by Markgraf Clayworks. If a student must cancel, they may do so for a full refund minus a $25 processing fee up to 7 days before the start date of the class. If a student cancels within 7 days of the start date of the class, they will receive a credit to be applied toward another class. Credit must be used within 6 months. Student will be responsible for any part of class fee greater than their credit due. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class.
