RAKU- Tuesdays pm
Learn traditional raku firing- some pottery skills helpful but not required- ages 16+
Service Description
Students will have the opportunity to create and fire pieces using traditional raku techniques. You will making pieces on the pottery wheel as well as in the handbuilding studio. The class schedule is as follows: Tues. March 10- 6-9 pm- Handbuilding (animal sculptures) Tues. March 17- 6-9 pm- Handbuilding Tues. March 23- 6-9 pm- Pottery Wheel (various pots) Tues. March 30- 6-9 pm- Pottery Wheel Tues. April 14- 6-9 pm- Glaze Saturday April 25 Raku firing (off site) 12pm-all pots fired. Usually 5-6pm.) Sunday April 26 Raindate!! 12 pm. It is required that you attend the firing, so please make sure you are available on the date of the firing AND the raindate. Raku takes many hands, so you are required to attend for the whole firing! Wear hair back and closed toe shoes!! Please read our policies. By registering for a class, you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to our policies and procedures. We cannot accommodate makeup classes. We are located on the third floor and there is no elevator. We apologize to anyone who is unable to take classes due to the stairs. Cancellation Policy
Full refund or credit will be issued for any class cancelled by Markgraf Clayworks. If a student must cancel, they may do so for a full refund minus a $25 processing fee up to 7 days before the start date of the class. If a student cancels within 7 days of the start date of the class, they will receive a credit to be applied toward another class. Credit must be used within 6 months. Student will be responsible for any part of class fee greater than their credit due. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class.
