Wheel and Handbuilding Combo -Sat AM
6 Week All Skill levels. Ages 14+
Service Description
6 classes: 1/11, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, skip a week for drying and firing, final glaze class on 2/22. This class will introduce students to both pottery wheel and handbuilding techniques. Students will first learn basic pottery wheel skills including throwing, trimming and glazing. They will also learn handbuilding techniques through guided projects. Some textures and surface treatments will be experimented with. Students with previous experience will continue building their skills with more advanced challenges. Small class size enables plenty of one on one instruction, meeting each student at their skill level. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate makeups but there will be open studio times available for practice. Tools and all supplies will be provided. Please bring a hand towel. Aprons are recommended but not required. Fingernails should be trimmed to a short length. Please read our policies and procedures. By registering for a class you acknowledge and agree to our policies and procedures. We are located on the third floor of a historic building on the square in downtown Newark. Cancellation Policy
Full refund or credit will be issued for any class cancelled by Markgraf Clayworks. If a student must cancel, they may do so for a full refund minus a $25 processing fee up to 7 days before the start date of the class. If a student cancels within 7 days of the start date of the class, they will receive a credit to be applied toward another class. Credit must be used within 6 months. Student will be responsible for any part of class fee greater than their credit due. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class.
