Available during all studio hours. Available times will display during booking. This service is available to current students as well as former students of Markgraf Clayworks. If you have not taken a class at the studio, please email markgrafclayworks@gmail.com to discuss the potential opportunity for you to use this service. Guidelines: All registrations are subject to cancellation or refusal from MCW. If your registration is cancelled or refused, you will receive a full refund within 48 hours of cancellation. If you need to cancel your reservation/registration for an independent wheel booking, you must do so at least 48 hours ahead of time to receive a refund. If you cancel at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled time, you will receive a credit for future use. If you cancel less than 24 hours ahead or are a no-show, you will not receive a refund. You must use clay purchased at MCW and purchase price will include use of studio dipping glazes and firings. Glaze times can be coordinated with the studio instructor. Clay is $34 plus tax/25# clay. You can also use your class clay if applicable. If outside glazes are used, you must provide the label information. All glazing guidelines must be followed and you will be charged for any runny glaze that sticks/damages the kiln shelves. Guidelines are posted in glaze area. Also good throwing practices and clay wedging skills are required. Any work that the kiln technician decides may be risky to fire will be returned to you unfired and options will be discussed. Independent wheels are located in close proximity to the class wheels. Please do not socialize with students during their class times or play music without headphones, or talk on cell phones. This is independent work time so do not engage class instructors during their classes except for urgent issues. Come prepared and arrive early if you need to purchase clay. You will not be able to purchase clay during a class time as the instructor will not be available to assist you. Plan to be finished working and cleaned up by the end of your booked time. Do not work up until the end time of your session and then clean up. Wheels must be cleaned thoroughly, including walls, stools and floors in your immediate area. Please report any issues with equipment or injuries to MCW as soon as possible. All other studio policies and procedures apply. By registering for an independent wheel time, you acknowledge and agree to policies and procedures.
